Ɔhemaa Juliet Bawuah adjudged Best Sports Journalist in Ghana at 47th SWAG Awards in Accra

Internationally acclaimed Ghanaian journalist Juliet Bawuah has been adjudged as the Best Sports Journalist of the Year in the West African nation.

Bawuah, Head of Sports at Ghanaian media conglomerate Media General, was honoured with the coveted prize at the 47th SWAG MTN Ghana / Adamus Resources Ltd which was held at the International Conference Center on Saturday, January 28, 2023.

The founder of the Africa Women’s Sports Summit is known by leading global figures in Sports, she is the only Ghanaian Sports Journalist to have interviewed two sitting FIFA heads, the FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, and Secretary General, Fatma Samoura.

In the year under review, the Cardiff University alumni created Digital content around Team Ghana for FIFA and global Host broadcasters.

Saturday night’s top award adds to the prestigious Sports Journalist of the Year at the 26th Ghana Journalists Association Awards in November 2022.

Juliet has also been the go-to source and correspondent on sports-related matter within the continent for some of the world’s leading brands including the BBC, SuperSport, TRT World, Premier League TV, La Liga TV and the German broadcaster, DW and France 24.
