2022 FIFA World Cup: Twitter users react to Black Stars qualification

Twitter has been buzzing with congratulatory messages for the Black Stars after they managed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup to be hosted by Qatar.

The Senior National team drew 1-1 with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Abuja on Tuesday to sail through to the World Cup after a goalless draw last Friday in Kumasi.

Shortly after the game, the #BlackStars has been trending number one on Twitter with over 200k tweets.

President Akufo-Addo took to his Twitter page to congratulate the Black Stars.

President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku also in a tweet expressed a huge sigh of relief following the win by the Black Stars.

Some Ghanaians also applauded Coach Otto Addo for putting up a stunning performance as Head Coach to send the team to the 2022 World Cup.

Meanwhile, Nigerians are being trolled after they failed to make it to the 2022 World Cup.

In some viral videos on Twitter, Nigerians are seen destroying properties at the Stadium in Abuja and putting up rowdy behaviors for failing to qualify for Qatar 2022.
