2023 AFCON: Madagascar calls up players from PSG and LA Galaxy to face Black Stars in qualifiers

Madagascar head coach Nicolas Dupuis has handed a call-up to Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Mathyas Randriamamy in his 27-man squad to face the Black Stars in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.

Randriamamy, 19, hasn’t featured for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season as he has mainly had spells with the second team squad this season in the National Ligue 3.

The young goalkeeper was in between the sticks for ‘Barea’ when they edged DR. Congo 1-0 in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers back in October 2021.

Randriamamy is not the only significant name in Malagasy assembled to face the Ghana test on June 1, 2022, at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

LA Galaxy midfielder Rayan Raveloson has also been included in the squad. The 25-year-old Anosibe Ifanja-born former Troyes midfielder has scored twice in 8 appearances for ‘Barea’.

21-year-old Barnsley left-back Remy Vita has also been named in the squad for the all-important clash.

Below is the 27-man squad announced by the French coach for the games.
