Unilever Ghana pledges sustainable employment opportunities for youth
George Owusu Ansah, the Managing Director of Unilever Ghana Plc, has expressed the company’s commitment to support national development by creating sustainable employment opportunities.
He believes that a well-resourced and vibrant young population is essential for driving national transformation.
During a media engagement event in Accra, Owusu-Ansah reaffirmed Unilever Ghana’s pledge to produce consumer-friendly products.
“Our compass as a business is about sustainable living and sustainable living is about human beings and the planet and for human beings, we need work to live our lives and without work per Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s definition, there’s no happiness.”
“We cannot be a company that is looking for sustainable living without supporting. So our focus on employment and skilling young people for work is borne out of our compass,” he noted.
“Our consumers are most important to us because they consume the products and keep us in business and we do recognize and appreciate them .We focus on quality to ensure that our products deliver what the promise,” he added.
