Oluboi Commodore told Yaw Preko not to play Emmanuel Agyemang Badu in league games [Asempa FM SportsNite]

Former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has revealed that Great Olympics Chief Executive Officer Oluboi Commodore told former coach Yaw Preko not to play him in league matches.

The former Udinese captain has announced his decision to quit the Accra-based side after six months at the club.

“Oluboi Commodore, the CEO, is the one behind my reason to quit the club. The decision by the coach to keep me playing cost him his job and this has been confirmed by four members of the technical team,” he told Enoch Worlanyo on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show.

The combative midfielder won two MVP Awards in 11 games for the club – he was voted as the Most Valuable Player of the Match in Olympics’ 1-1 drawn game with Dreams FC on matchday 16 of the league.

Badu, 32, joined the Wonder Club before the start of the 2022/23 season as a free agent and helped the Accra-based side to lift the 2022 G8 Competition after beating Bechem United in the final at the Accra Sports Stadium.
