AIPS Africa elects new leaders at the 7th AIPS Congress in Dakar

AIPS Africa has elected Senegalese Abdoulaye Thiam as the new President of the Association at a congress in Dakar, Senegal.

At the Congress, new leaders were elected into office following the expiration of the term of office of the previous Executive Committee.

Below are the new executives
Abdoulaye Thiam (Senegal) – President
Morad Moutawakil (Morocco) – 1st Vice President

Vice Presidents
Chris Mbaisi – Kenya
Nazzim Bessol – Algeria
Oumar Baaba Traore- Mali
Bertile Makoun – Cameroon

General Secretary
Musa Cise (Gambia)

Treasurer :
Liliane Nshimirimana- Burundi

Executive Members
Tiendrebeogo Jérôme- Burkina Faso
Avuletey Kodjo – Togo
Fridolin Wambobo Kpengoulagna – Central Africa Republic
Kadiatou Traoré- Guinea.

Also in attendance was AIPS president Gianni Merlo, Head Coach of the Senegal National team, Aliu Cisse.

Ghana’s William Ezah withdrew from the contest.
