Albert Kwabena Dwumfour elected GJA president

Albert Kwabena Dwumfour has won a hotly contested presidency of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) on Friday.

The Group Head of Corporate Affairs at the Tobinco Group and incumbent National Organising Secretary beat Dave Agbenu, the Editor of Ghanaian Times and former General Secretary of the Association and Gayheart Edem Mensah, a journalist and communication consultant.

Mr Dwumfour polled 233 votes, while Mr Edem Mensah got 181 votes with Mr Agbenu polling 142 votes.
