Player Rating: Check out how Kotoko players rated against Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash

Asante Kotoko squeezed out a point from the Accra Sports Stadium after holding Hearts of Oak to a pulsating 0-0 drawn game in the outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon.

Kotoko goalkeeper Danland Ibrahim had to be at his best to deny Gladson Awako a golden opportunity in the first-half while Abdul Ganiu and other players impressed for Kotoko, especially in the second-half.

Ghana Sports Online editor AKYEREKO runs the rule over the performance of the Porcupine Warriors players.

Danlad Ibrahim – 7/10

The former Ghana U20 goalkeeper had a memorable game for the Porcupine Warriors. He pulled a number of great stops to deny Hearts of Oak, especially in the first-half. He also organised his backline very well.

Augustine Agyepong – 6/10

He had close to a good day against an offensive line featuring Muntari, Barnieh, and Obeng Junior. He fared well in the 80 minutes he lasted on the field of play for Kotoko.

Imoro Ibrahim – 5/10

The 22-year-old had a good start to the game until he was forced off and replaced by Patrick Asmah due to injury.

Mubarik Yussif – 6/10

After struggling against the Hearts of Oak attack in the first half, Mubarik and his partner came to live in the second-half displaying good defensive abilities to limit Hearts of Oak’s chance.

Ismail Ganiu – 6.5/10

The skipper flourished in the second half as he led the backline to curtail most of the Hearts of Oak’s attacks in the second half. A good display from the defender.

Mudasiru Salifu – 6.5/10

After coming under a barrage of offensive moves from Hearts of Oak, Mudasiru received more support from his teammates and stabilised the backline in the second half as Kotoko dominated the game from the 46th minute.

Sherif Mohammed – 5.9/10

He did the simple and important things by blocking and distributing where required though the box-to-box attributes expected of him didn’t really come out. He was withdrawn 10 minutes from time.

Richmond Lamptey – 6.8/10

Very mobile and athletic throughout the game. He created a number of creative opportunities and had a good shot at the goal which was saved by Richard Attah.

Dickson Afoakwa – 5.7/10

He was substituted at the hour mark after enduring a quiet afternoon in the game. He was involved in one good moment for Kotoko.

George Mfegue – 6/10

The Cameroonian was pocketed and silenced by Dennis Korsah as he marched him throughout the game. He had few opportunities in the game.

Franck Etouga Mbella – 6/10

Like his fellow countryman, Mbella was policed by the Hearts of Oak defence as he had limited chances upfront. He had a golden chance in the second half but he headed his effort wide.
