Brazil were SCARED of Ghana before the game – Ex-Ghana defender believes the Black Stars are now on a new level [Akwaaba Radio]

Former Ghana international defender John Paintsil has confidently stated that the Black Stars team sparked fear into Brazil’s star-studded side ahead of Friday evening’s clash at the Stade Oceane in Le Havre, France.

A diamond-gilded Brazilian Selecao side subjected the Black Stars to a first-half rendition of their ‘Samba football’ as the South Americans coasted to a convincing victory in the Upper Normandy city.

A brace from Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison added up to a 9th-minute finish from PSG Marquinhos as the Samba Boys coasted to an impressive triumph.

Tite’s dreaded attacking force gnawed and spat venom in brutal offensive onslaughts which produced 3 first-half goals with a number of factors helping the Black Stars to escape a potential cricket score-line.

Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr. was merciless with Denis Odoi – the Club Brugge man who was deployed to shut the Selecao attacking channel from the left.

Though Neymar Jr. failed to register his name on the score-sheet, the PSG talisman completed most dribbles on the pitch as he cheekily danced through the Ghana back-line in search of scoring chances.

Despite the rich vein of form of Brazilian players ahead of the game, Paintsil believes the Black Stars were a nightmare to the Brazilians.

“Brazil were scared of Ghana going into the game. Back in the day, the storylines used to be different. We were rather scared of them. They used to motivate us to play but that is no longer the case now,” he told Berekum-based Akwaaba Radio.
