Controversial Ghanaian gospel musician Brother Sammy insists Jesus Christ doesn’t see anything wrong with sports betting [Asempa FM Sports]
Controversial Ghanaian gospel musician Brother Sammy has insisted that Jesus Christ doesn’t hate betting and that Christians should take advantage of the financial benefits of betting.
The Samaria Obaano hitmaker was present at the Accra Polo Court on Sunday to witness the Clasico game between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The religious public remains divided over sports betting with the majority kicking against the activity of predicting sports results and placing a wager on the outcome.
However, reacting to perceptions about sports betting on Asempa FM at the final whistle of the Clasico game, the gospel musician said: “The followers of Jesus Christ are supposed to prosper financially and wherever there is money Christians must get some.”
He added that he placed a bet on a Barcelona victory in the Clasico and confirmed that he had won money from the bet he place.
“I am a Barcelona fan and I also support Asante Kotoko. I staked a bet on a Barcelona win and I have won,” he added.
