2023 CHAN: Annor Walker names 5 Hearts of Oak players in starting XI to face Nigeria – Suraj Seidu benched

Black Galaxies head coach Annor Walker has named FIVE Hearts of Oak players in his starting XI for the all-important second-leg tie against Nigeria at the Moshood Abiola Sports Stadium in the 2023 CHAN qualifiers.
Ghana come face to face with their Nigerian counterparts in Abuja on Saturday afternoon with the Galaxies in pole position to qualify.

Walker has named Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim in between sticks – he is the only Asante Kotoko player in the starting XI.

Meanwhile three of Danlad’s back-four to support his defensive set-up are from rivals Hearts of Oak – Konadu Yiadom, Mohammed Alhassan and Dennis Korsah will form a great partnership at the back.

Karela United FC’s Augustine Randoph retains his position at right-back to complete the back four.

Dominic Nsobilla and Kassim Razak of Great Olympics will operate in a double-pivot role in the middle with Umar Bashiru and Gladson Awako supporting from offensive positions.

David Abagna Sandan earns the nod to start ahead of Suraj Seidu while Daniel Afriyie Barnieh leading the attack in a packed system unleashed by Walker and his assistant Prosper Narteh Ogum.
