Cristiano Ronaldo demanding €19.9m from Juventus – Marca

Reports from Italy claim that Cristiano Ronaldo is demanding a payment of 19.9 million euros from Juventus.

The aforementioned amount corresponds to the wage agreement organised between both parties during the break in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Portugal international joined the Old Lady back in 2018 and stayed in Turin for three years, but all European leagues were paused in 2020 following the COVID-19 outbreak.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo has yet to receive the agreed-upon sum and has already contacted a legal team in order to demand almost 20m euros.

Meanwhile, the Italian public prosecutor’s office has been investigating alleged false accounting by the club and these investigations have already led to the Juventus board resigning.

The former board could be tried for possible breaches of club licensing and financial fair play regulations and Juventus will also be investigated because of the salary cuts agreed upon during the COVID-19 outbreak.
