Hearts beat Kotoko to signature of highly-rated striker Benjamin York [Pure FM]

Hearts of Oak have completed the signing of highly-rated striker Benjamin York from second-tier side FC Samartex 1996, according to Kumasi-based Pure FM.

The Phobians reached a deal with both player and club and have completed the signing but has not been registered as part of their CAF Champions League squad.

Hearts’ rivals Asante Kotoko were keenly morning the progress of the 25-year-old during the Division One League season and expressed interest in him.

A move to Kotoko became possible in February when he admitted in an interview with journalist Mohammed Shaban that he fancies a move to Kotoko.

But, Hearts have acted swiftly to beat Kotoko to the signature of the talented forward.
