Ex-Black Stars coach reveals the BEST Ghanaian football administrator. It is not Kurt Okraku. Check it out [Asempa FM SportsNite]

Former Black Stars coach Charles Akonnor has revealed his best Ghanaian football administrator and it is not current Ghana FA Kurt Okraku.

Akonnor, 48, worked closely with Kurt Okraku then President of Dreams FC between 2014 and 2017 before heading to Obuasi to handle AshantiGold as head coach for a season’s spell.

After working with five different clubs across the country and handling the senior national team, the former VfL Wolfsburg and Ghana captain has mentioned who his best Ghanaian football administrator is.

He tells Asempa FM’s Enoch Worlanyo on the #SportsNite show that ex-AshantiGold CEO Kudjoe Fianoo is the best administrator he has seen.

“I would never forget. I would say this. He [Mr. Fianoo] is the only administrator I have worked with and seen who gives you the free hands to work. It felt like the team was mine. I managed everything including even matchday activities. He made me really feel responsible,” he told Worlanyo.

“Mr. Fianoo gave the team to me. He only called when it was necessary to speak to me. Sometimes when I was going overboard he would call me and draw my attention. I was in control of the team.”

Akonnor left AshantiGold to join Kotoko in 2018 after saving the club from relegation.

He reportedly had a frosty relationship with Okraku during his spell as head coach of the Black Stars.
