Former Bechem United midfielder Moro Salifu heavily involved in Al Ittihad’s quarter-final victory in Egyptian Cup

Ghanaian midfielder Moro Salifu came off the bench to score one of the penalty kicks for Al Ittihad in their victory over Pharco in the Egyptian Cup quarter-final clash on Monday.

Moro, 24, converted Ittihad’s 4th kick in the game to keep their hopes alive after El Sayed Salem had missed the third kick for the home side.

Ittihad eventually won the shootouts 7-6 after Pharco, the away side, missed two crucial kicks.

The regulation time had seen the time end 2-2 after Kingsley Sokari had scored from a penalty rebound for Pharco inside the 97th minute to send the game to penalties.
