Yaba Buluku Boyz Connects Africa again On New Beefy Sound ‘Wa Kula’ Featuring Jah Prayzah

Mozambican music trio, DJ Tarico, Preck and Nelson Tivane better known as Yaba Buluku Boyz continue to solidify their presence in the African music scene. Since their introduction to mainstream audiences, the group has collaborated with African heavyweights like Burna Boy, Yemi Alade and more. Their new single, ‘Wa Kula’ meaning “Growing Up” features Zimbabwe’s Jah Prayzah is the story of their journey from the streets of Mozambique to becoming superstardom.

Over the past few months, the Yaba Buluku Boyz have been offline to pursue individual projects and complete their joint album. ‘Wa Kula’ marks the return of the Boyz, bringing their pan-African vision of uniting African cultures through music back into perspective. Picking up on their emphasis of international collaboration, Zimbabwe’s Jah Prayzah joins the list of Yaba Buluku Boyz collaborators like Burna Boy, Zoro, Iyanya, DJ Consequence, and Yemi Alade.

The result of this is another dynamic record, rich in energy thanks to the precision of DJ Tárico’s thumping Amapiano production, Ja Prayzah’s stylish vocals, and Nelson Tivane and Preck’s perfectly placed inspirational chants. Narrating their rise from the streets of Maputo to African renown and consideration, ‘Wa Kula’ is out now!
