Here’s a round-up of the latest Amapiano songs you need to hear this week.

Naira Marley – Drug Test

The controversial Nigerian rapper together with his frequent collaborator, Rexxie serve music listeners another party song titled ‘Drug Test’.

The street-hop tune infused amapiano overtones is a smashing tune that would have party people asking for more. Mixed and mastered by Spirit mix, the song is a must-have on your dance playlist.

‘Drug Test’ is the follow-up to Naira Marley’s smash hit ‘Coming’, featuring South African songstress Busiswa.

Niniola – Too Sweet (O Dun)

Queen of Nigerian Afro-house, Niniola shares her take on amapiano with a new song she titles ‘Too Sweet (O’Dun)’.

This registers as Niniola’s third output for the year so far and a follow-up to her successfully released ‘6th Heaven’ EP.

Dice Ailes – Reserve

Canada-based Nigerian recording music artist, Dice Ailes makes a return to the music scene with a new solo effort titled ‘Reserve’.

Currently signed to London-based record label Black Butter Music, Dice Ailes makes his first attempt at amapiano with the song he titles ‘Reserve’, themed around having excessive girls all to himself.

‘Reserve’ is a follow-up to his afro-fusion tune ‘Money Dance’, which was released in January. The prolific singer and rapper is expected to drop his album this year, as his fans wait for a project from the fashionista Dice Ailes.

Vader The Wildcard – Concur

Nigerian recording music artist, Vader The Wildcard has released his debut long length studio project dubbed ‘To Be Frank’. The extended play houses seven songs and it features the likes of Kemena, Tiwadara, Meji, Nu Baby and TGM.

The fourth song titled ‘Concur’ is an amapiano tune with high prospects to make charts in the coming days.

Jorja Smith & Guiltybeatz – All Of This

Jorja Smith is the latest entrant to the world of Amapiano. The American singer-songwriter makes a return after her recent EP, Be Right Back, with her new single, “All Of This”, which features production from Ghanaian producer GuiltyBeatz.

When the EP dropped back in May, Jorja Smith made it known it was a hint of what to expect on her impending album.Details on what exactly that could be were somewhat elusive, so it’s not clear if this new single will form part of a larger project or not; either way, it’s a welcome surprise on the way to whatever comes next.

Ed Sheeran – Bad Habit (Kooldrink Amapiano Remix)

The amapiano genre continues to bridge the gap between Africa and the Western world as more international artists find a unique way to hop onto the genre.

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran teamed up with South African music producer Kooldrink, on the remix of his hit Bad Habits.

Dunnie – Mosafejo

Nigerian singer and producer, Dunnie pursues her new found love for Amapiano in her latest single titled Mosafejo.

Pabi Cooper – Isphithiphithi

South African singer and songwriter, Pabi Cooper teams up with Busta929, Joocy and Reece Madlisa to churn out this Amapiano inspired song titled ‘Isphithiphithi’

Lebza TheVillain, Musa Keys x DBN Gogo & Raspy – Kumnandi

Lebza TheVillain branches out from House to Amapiano. Before this release, Lebza began mixing piano songs on his sets and then he was featured on the hit song, “Possible” by DBN Gogo and Musa Keys. Today, House producer/ dj Lebza TheVillain drops off his first Amapiano single titled “Kumnandi.”

With this song, we officially welcome Lebza The Villain to the Piano wagon. The song features Musa Keys, DBN Gogo and Raspy.

Nhlonipho – Myekeni

Multifaceted South-African musical artist, Nhlonipho, releases a new single titled, Myekeni ft TiTow, the second single ahead of his 6-track debut EP set for release next week.

Myekeni, which in literal term means ‘leave her’ is one of the other songs inspired by real experience groove life, just like his debut single release, Uzanini, which landed him prime placement on some of the biggest playlist charts.

Nhlonipho went into the studio making the beat and came up with the melody for the song, and later met the kwaito rapper, TiTow, who then added a verse to the song. Additionally, the music lecturer with a civil engineering qualification’s twin brother and DJ, MS Williams, also added some elements to the song.
