Qatar Airways to offer a flight discount to Ghana Party in the Park UK patrons
Organizers of the Ghana Party in the Park UK, Akwaaba Group, have announced that one of its esteemed sponsors, Qatar Airways, will offer a flight discount to patrons of the event this year.
The announcement was made by the CEO, Mr Dennis Tawiah, at the press briefing on Friday at the Accra Tourism Information Centre.
This comes after a media representative of Muse Africa, Derrick Boadi, asked the CEO, whether passengers, particularly the ones travelling from Ghana to the U.K. for the festival, would enjoy a package from the airways company since they are sponsoring the event.
In Mr Tawiah’s response, he said: “Qatar Airways has been excellent so far. And yes, they are going to offer us a discount.
“Therefore, I would encourage people to travel with Qatar Airways for Ghana Party in the Park UK because there is a discount on the table and it’s quite a good one,” he added.
According to the Ghanaian representatives of Qatar Airways, the specific percentage of the discount will be announced in the next couple of weeks.
For seventeen years, the festival has convened over 8,000 people from Ghana, U.K., Holland, France, USA, and Canada, among other countries, to showcase the Ghanaian culture and heritage to the rest of the world.
Musicians like Sarkodie, Mr Eazi, Stonebwoy, Mr Drew, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Camidoh, Kofi Kinaata, S3FA, A.B Crentsil, and Kofi Jamar, among others, have performed on the big stage.
The line-up for this year’s edition is yet to be announced by the organizers.
The event will take place at Trent Park, London EN4 OJY, on July 16.
Attractions include guest artistes, live music, food, fashion, cultural dancers, funfair, masquerade parade, games, DJs, MCs, EXPO, and more.
