Gladson Awako finally goes public on Hearts of Oak saga [Asempa FM]

Ghanaian midfielder Gladson Awako has officially responded to the uncertainty around his future with Hearts of Oak.

The Phobians signed the 30-year-old from city-rivals Great Olympics but he has failed to train with the former African champions despite signing a binding agreement with the club.

Weeks after his move to the Phobians Olympics claimed the transfer agreement between themselves and the Ghanaian champions automatically terminated as the Phobians failed to meet their financial obligation in the agreement.

Awako’s agent Yussif Chibsah is on record to have told the media that the former TP Mazembe midfielder may or may not play for the Phobians.

Hearts officially wrote an apology letter to the neighbours apologising for their failure to meet the timelines in the agreement for the completion of payment.

Now Awako has told Accra-based Asempa FM that he is uncertain about his status as a player.

“I’m ready to play but as it stands, I don’t know where I belong until the issue is resolved,” he told Asempa FM.
