Latest report: Hearts of Oak want this GPL coach as new assistant [Pure FM]

Hearts of Oak have reportedly contacted Karela United head coach Bismark Kobby Mensah to become the club’s new assistant coach, according to Kumasi-based Pure FM.

The Phobians departed ways with Samuel Boadu on Tuesday and went ahead to dissolve the entire technical team following a string of bad results, spanning 8 games.

According to multiple reports from various web portals, the Phobians will announce Dutch trainer Erik van der Meer as the club’s new head coach.

However, Kumasi-based Pure FM have contradicted the reports stating boldly that Prosper Ogum would be named as the new coach.

Sources close to the former Kotoko coach confirm that he has recommended to the leadership of the Phobians to engage the Karela United coach to become his assistant.

The two have worked together closely at the Black Galaxies, Ghana’s CHAN team, and have the right bond to lead the club back to success.

Kobby Mensah is said to be considering the offer to become the next coach for the Phobians.

Hearts are winless in their last 8 league games in the top-flight league.
