Amaarae fights Moliy over ‘Sad Girlz Luv Money’ Credit allegation

Ghanaian songstress and performer Ama Serwah Genfi, widely known as Amaarae, has shut her colleague singer, Moliy, over song credit allegations for their smash tune ‘Sad Girl Luv Money‘.

Amaarae refuted Moliy’s claim that she wrote 80% of the original song and was not given credit for the remix.

Moliy, a featured artist on ‘Sad Girl Luv Money’, took to social media platform, twitter on March 6th, 2022 and made claims that she contributed, wrote, and performed 80% of the original song and that she was removed from the remix as the song “grew more popular”.

In her Twitter thread, Moliy also concluded that she is yet to receive any revenue from the song that has been topping charts on digital streaming platforms.

However, Amaarae swiftly responded to her allegations in another lengthy twitter thread. She slammed Moliy for her accusations, “calling it a slap in the face when all she tried to do was share an opportunity with a fellow Ghanaian act by putting her on the song and letting her shine”.

Amaarae denied claims that she had received revenue from her song and refusing to share. She went on to claim that Moliy’s team had ensured that they blocked all sources of revenue that the song could make by not promoting the song on their side.
