Akosua Adjepong eulogises her mum
Legendary Highlife musician and songwriter, Akosua Adjepong has praised her late mother for raising her well.
Speaking on E Vibes with Becky on JoyNews, Akosua Adjepong stated that her mum was hard on her and her siblings which made them who they are today.
“She was such a hard woman. I loved my mummy. She died in 1994. We loved her because she was so hard on us. In the morning, no matter where you went during the night, you have to wake up at 4:30am and do your chores,” Akosua Adjepong said.
She added that “after our evening outings and we get tired, she won’t go to work early because that will give us the chance to sleep more. She will stay around and if you have to sweep, you sweep. If you have to cook too, you do it and so we all had something doing.”
According to Akosua Adjepong, her mum made sure they never go wrong with cooking or housekeeping.
“We say thank you to her because it really helped us when we were growing. My mum didn’t buy a brown carpet. She bought cream carpet so when it’s dirty and she asks you to wash it, you wash it well,” she added.
“My mum really brought us up well. She didn’t allow us to go to the club, so we looked for invitation cards of parties and changed the dates so that she can allow us to go.”
