Midweek performance wrap of Ghanaian players in Europe

Mohammed Kudus led the way once again in Europe for Ghanaian players who featured in UEFA club competitions in midweek.

The Ajax midfielder was on the scoresheet for his side in their match day two loss to Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday in the Champions League.

Kamal Sowah was also on the scoresheet for Club Brugge who made light work of Porto away from home. Denis Odoi also played the entire minutes of the game.

Callum Hudson-Odoi also impressed for Bayer Leverkusen, who defeated Atletico Madrid at home.

In the Europa League, Patrick Kpozo and Mudasiru Salifu were all in action for Sheriff Tiraspol who suffered a 2-0 defeat to Manchester United.

Kwabena Owusu registered a goal for Qarabag as they thump French side Nantes 3-0

Kamaldeen Sulemana featured in Stade Rennes’ 2-2 stalemate with Fenerbahce at home while Daniel-Kofi Kyereh provided an assist as Freiburg saw off Olympiacos.

Malik Abubakari played all available minutes as HJK lost to AS Roma.

Bernard Tekpetey last 70 minutes in Ludogorets’ loss to Real Betis.

Osman Bukari was substituted with 20 minutes left in Red Star Belgrade’s 2-1 defeat to Trabzonspor.

In the Conference League, Kingsley Schindler played as a makeshift as Cologne beat Slovacko 4-2.

Emmanuel Yeboah played the full game as CFR Cluj lost to Sivasspor while Majeed Ashimeru was also in action for Anderlecht in their stalemate against FCSB.
