Kotoko supporters leader claims the Porcupine Warriors are in contact with Gladson Awako over a possible move [Oyerepa FM]

Former Asante Kotoko National Circles Council chief Kwaku Amponsah claims some board members of the Porcupine Warriors have been in talks with Gladson Awako over a possible switch from Hearts of Oak to join the club.

Awako, 30, was announced as a new signing by Kotoko’s bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak as their new signing in early September but the former TP Mazembe midfielder has since not trained with the club.

Ghanasportsonline.com reported on Saturday morning that the former Great Olympics midfielder had quit the Ghanaian double winners, citing reasons of spiritual attacks.

Despite the reported claims of spiritual attacks, a section of the Phobians fans feel the midfielder rather wants to quit the club over a fresh bumper offer.

And, former Kotoko supporters leader Chairman K5 has revealed during an interview with Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM that Kotoko are in contact with the midfielder.

“I have heard some Kotoko board members want to bring Gladson Awako to the club. They should not try this on any day. We will not allow this to happen. He should play his Hearts of Oak and allow us to build our team,” he told Oyerepa FM.

The Phobians announced the signing of the midfielder on August 23, 2021, after reaching a deal with Accra Great Olympics.
