MTN suspends July 1 new MoMo charges
Telcommunication giant, MTN has suspended its planned adjustments in Mobile Money (MoMo) charges scheduled to have taken effect from July 1, 2023.
Earlier, the telco has said transactions up to GH¢2,000 were to see a one percent charge and a flat rate of GH¢20 for transactions above GHS 2,000.
But MTN now say the decision has indefinitely been put on hold.
“The panned review of cash-out fees for MoMo, scheduled for July 1, 2023, has been put on hold until further notice,” MTN Ghana said on Monday, June 26. The current cash out fee of GH¢10 still applies and will be charged to your wallet. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. Just MoMo it”, MTN said.
