Accountants urged to proffer solutions to mitigate impact of COVID-19 on businesses

As part of efforts to mitigate the impact of Covid-19 and high inflationary rates on businesses, chartered accountants have been challenged to proffer solutions for their respective organizations.

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) believes that if practitioners are able to embrace innovative ways, businesses would not bear the brunt of the current economic crisis.

Speaking at the ACCA Future Members Awards and Recognition Ceremony in Accra, ACCA Ghana Chairperson, Network Panel, Audrey Naa Dei Charged the newly Affiliates and Certified practitioners and ACCA students to be passion driven and abide by the rudiments of the accounting profession.
The current economic crisis calls for innovation. It calls for accounting and financing professionals who can think out of the box. And that is what ACCA does.

At ACCA, we have a global network which our students are plugged in and that gives the opportunity to share and exchange pragmatic ideas globally. This idea and expertise that members acquire from networking with ACCA and affiliates such as PWC Ghana, KPMG, EY, Deloitte and other professional companies make the members competent. This can easily tone their skills as the leverage on all the opportunities to plug into our local economy

In his keynote address, the Chief Instructor- Army Faculty- Ghana Military Academy, Colonel Noble Carl Dei- Alorse encourage the members to make conscious efforts to demonstrate the quotients of the profession at various working environment .He also suggested to the audience to critically leverage on digital currency which is not influenced by the current inflationary rates.

The Awards ceremony saw the youngest Affiliate of ACCA Ghana, Marian Appiah receive a citation of honor. She encouraged all young ladies to work to achieve their dreams.
