RTU asking Hearts of Oak to pay GHS100,000 compensation to recall this striker from his loan spell

Ghana Premier League side RTU are asking Hearts of Oak to cough up GHS100,000 to recall striker Issah Kuka from his loan spell at the club, according to reports.

Kuka, 20, was farmed out to the Pride of the North before the start of the season by the Rainbow club and has bagged 6 league goals in 10 games.

The Phobians have been hit by a squad crisis with up to 5 first team players away on international duty at the 2023 CHAN tournament in Algeria.

Meanwhile, Benjamin York is the leading scorer for the former African champions with just 3 goals from 8 games.

Kwadwo Obeng Junior and Isaac Mensah have failed to find their scoring rhythms this season leaving the Phobians with no option than to recall Kuka back from loan.

However, according to the reports as given by ace broadcast journalist Bright Kankam Boadu, RTU are unwilling to release the striker back to Hearts as the loan agreement between the clubs does not contain a clause that could get the Phobians recall the forward from the agreement.

In this regard, the Tamale-based club are asking Hearts of Oak to pay a compensation to them before they agree to release their player back to them.
