Why Shatta Wale And Kofi Kinaata Pulled Out Of The Ghana Party In The Park | Reasons Revealed

Every year, the Ghanaian diaspora gathers in London for Ghana Party In The Park, an outdoor festival. The festival, which has been hosted by Akwaaba Group since 2005 and draws over 8000 attendees, is the largest Ghanaian event held outside of Ghana.

Award-winning Ghanaian musicians Kofi Kinaata and Shatta Wale were scheduled to perform and serve as the headliners for this year’s Ghana Party In The Park at Trent Park in London on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

Following the global epidemic, the one-day celebration of African music, culture, and art made a comeback the previous year. Last year, Sarkodie and Akwaaba U.K. collaborated to formally announce the event’s return.

Kofi Kinaata and Shatta Wale withdrew from the event a few days prior to it, according to the event’s organizers. This decision was made based on the following;

Why Kofi Kinaata Was Withdrawn From The Ghana Party in The Park, UK

Kofi Kinaata reportedly canceled his participation at the event due to visa issues. His passport was with the Us consulate in Ghana as he awaited the clearance of his visa. He had to drop out of the event because the passport couldn’t come in time for him to go to the UK due to a delay in the visa processing.

Shatta Wale also had to withdraw because the event’s planners were unable to satisfy his requests. Shatta Wale asked the event planners to arrange for the flight of his entire team from Ghana to the U.K. as part of his demands. The incident occurred because the organizers turned down the request.
