Senyo Hosi explains why he resigned as Convener of Individual Bondholders Forum

Finance and Economic Policy Analyst and Entrepreneur Senyo Hosi has disclosed his reasons for resigning from his position as the Convener of the Individual Bondholders Forum.

Senyo Hosi resigned as Convener of the Individual Bondholders Forum on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.

In a statement signed and issued in Accra on Tuesday, Mr. Hosi said that despite the collective efforts made by the forum over the past few months, he will be unable to commit the time and resources required to effectively serve.

Speaking with Umaru Sanda Amadu on the Point Blank segment on Eyewitness News, Senyo Hosi explained that the activities surrounding the Individual Bondholders Forum were taking a toll on his business and his personal life.

“The nuisances of this job are quite daunting. I have not had a life. It has taken a toll on myself, my businesses, because I have not paid any attention. It’s quite a big task managing all these 3,000 people. It’s a calling, you must have the time committed to it. At this juncture, I just had to pull a break. I’m bending my business due to my absence. I don’t have the time and resources. I need to spend time for myself. I believe others should also take up the mantle,” he said.

He debunked claims that he has issues with some of his committee members, hence his resignation.

“There are always fights on big groups like this. There have been instances of quite hurt and pain because of the way some people have conducted themselves. What I carry, I don’t fight for it,” he stated.

Senyo Hosi blamed the middle class for neglecting the vulnerable in society.

“The middle class which is supposed to carry us along is weak,” he pointed out.

Senyo expressed hope that the group will find his replacement.
