Why Apple Music & Spotify Removed Nektunez ‘Ameno Amapiano Remix’ from their Platform.

A check by our DCLeakers.com confirmed that, popular music streaming platform, Spotify and Apple Music respectively has taken down Nektunez smash hit single, ‘Ameno Amapiano Remix‘ off its portal.

The trending song “Ameno Amapiano – Remix” composed by Ghanaian producer Nektunez and Nigerian singer, Goya Menor after topping charts and becoming the most shazamed song for some time was pulled down due to copyright and licensing issues.

According to sources, Nektunez and Goya Menor failed to clear sampling, which led to the take-down of their raving success single.

‘Ameno’ was originally composed by a French new-age musical group, Era in 1996. Per the music publishing rights, to sample any form of intellectual property, it is expected that the party that owns such property be contacted, and the said sample be “cleared”.

The Ameno Amapiano remix featured a sample of the Gregorian chant from the original song.

The song is currently a global tune, with TikTok playing a major role in the spread.

A quotable line in the song is; “…You want to bam ba, You want to chill with the big boys, Na you dey run kitikiti you dey run katakata no fit drink water drop cup…”
