Wizkid Receives Third Gold Certification In the U.S
Award-winning Nigerian Afrobeat singer-songwriter Wizkid recently received another gold certification for a single in the US.
The Grammy Award-nominated singer, whose song “Come Closer,” featuring Canadian heavyweight rapper Drake, was the first to receive a gold certification in the US, built on that momentum with “Essence,” featuring Tems (which has since gone platinum), and on Monday, August 8th, 2022, the singer added another gold with Beyonce’s “Brown Skin Girl,” in which he and Blue-Ivy Carter were featured.
The single “Brown Skin Girl” is taken from the Beyonce-produced album “Lion King: The Gift.” In the US, it has reportedly sold over a whooping 500,000 units.
