Ghanaian youth forward Daniel Owusu scores for Liefering in Austrian league

Ghanaian youth forward Daniel Owusu scored the consolation for RB Salzburg’s feeder club Liefering in their 2-1 loss to Austria Lustenau in the Austrian second-tier league on Friday.

Owusu, 18, in the 26th minute to pull Liefering level after the home time had taken the lead two minutes earlier.

The former WAFA player lasted 56 minutes as he was replaced 11 minutes after the break.

Owusu scored his opening goal of the season Kapfenberg a fortnight ago when he helped Liefering secure a 2-0 away win.

While he was scoring his second goal in 3 games for Liefering his Ghanaian compatriot Forson Amankwah, who featured for Salzburg against Barcelona in a pre-season victory during the week, started the game and lasted the entire period for the victors.
