Twitter has been buzzing with congratulatory messages for the Black Stars after they managed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup to be hosted by Qatar.
The Senior National team drew 1-1 with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Abuja on Tuesday to sail through to the World Cup after a goalless draw last Friday in Kumasi.
Shortly after the game, the #BlackStars has been trending number one on Twitter with over 200k tweets.
President Akufo-Addo took to his Twitter page to congratulate the Black Stars.
Warm congratulations to the Senior National Football Team, the Black Stars, for their dogged display in Abuja, and qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. I am very proud of the teamβs exploits. They have made the entire nation proud.

Meanwhile, Nigerians are being trolled after they failed to make it to the 2022 World Cup.
In some viral videos on Twitter, Nigerians are seen destroying properties at the Stadium in Abuja and putting up rowdy behaviors for failing to qualify for Qatar 2022.
