Adomaa Speaks Out About Suicidal Thoughts Due To Management Concerns

Adomaa has spoken out about having a melancholy episode in which she considered wasting her life.

The Ghanaian singer revealed that she and her team had heated arguments that turned violent, with things being hurled at her teammates. She explains how her personal problems aggravate the situation.

It was really bad. I started to have proper panic attacks; physically can’t breathe, my heart starts beating extremely fast like there is air but I can’t breathe and my brain is just saying you are going to die,” she said.

“I am not proud of it, but I did try suicide at one point,” the singer, who is also pursuing an acting career, admitted. I was going through a lot at the time, which is why I lost so much weight in such a short period of time.”

According to Adomaa, after performing in the therapy scene above for a new series in which she is featured, she saw a beacon of hope and the essence of living anew.

In a new interview with Asaase Radio, Adomaa discussed her depressive episodes. She said her mental health concerns led her to stop playing music since she was in a “very very sad place” throughout the talk.

Adomaa was tippped as Ghana’s next biggest female artist to look out for after her covers of several songs went viral, before the likes of Gyakie, Moily, Amaarae, and others emerged on the scene with their unique vocals and music talent.

However, many people’s hopes for her were dashed, and she claims it was due to mental health challenges she faced while working with her management team to develop her music career.

Adomaa, on the other hand, isn’t giving up on her singing abilities. She’s making a comeback with a new EP set to be published under her name. In a “You Used To Love Me” video posted to her YouTube channel, she gave a glimpse of what to expect.
