Cheque ft. Olamide – LOML

Ahead of his impending album dubbed ‘Bravo’, Penthauze Entertainment’s wunderkid Superboy Cheque releases a new single titled ‘L.O.M.L‘, an acronym which stands for ‘Love Of My Life’.

Featuring YBNL’s top dog Olamide, ‘LOML‘ is a follow up to his recent release ‘Call Me Baby’ premiered few weeks ago.

Cheque has so far released three singles this year and is likely to end the year with his ‘Bravo’ album.

The record was produced by fast-rising beatmaker, Zaki.

Basketmouth ft. Falz & Kwabena Kwabena – Ghana Jollof

Nigerian comedian, actor and now musician, Basketmouth ahead of the launch of Showmax Original’s ‘Ghana Jollof’ creates a highlife inspired soundtrack featuring Ghana’s Kwabena Kwabena and Nigeria’s Falz for the keenly awaited TV show.

With scenes shot on location in Lagos and Accra, the television show stars popular Nigerian comedian Buchi and Uzor Arukwe, who starred as dreaded crime boss Knight in Sugar Rush. Making an appearance for Ghana is Mawuli Gavor (Chief Daddy), James Gardiner, Jacinta Ocansey,  Portia Freelove, model and actress Brihanna Kinte, veteran actor Jackson Albert Davies (Beasts of No Nation), actress Korkor Oyeba Mensah, and multiple-award-winning comedian/actor Kalybos.

Johnny Drille – Ludo

Anchored by impeccable songwriting across sound beds replete with traditional, neo-classical and alté inflections, Before We Fall Asleep is an absorbing excursion into Johnny Drille’s richly textured cosmos.

Traversing multiple sonic worlds, the Afro-R&B “ludo” gels with the Afropop of “ova”, while the pensive acoustics of “BEFORE I LET GO” precede the collision of hip-hop undertones on “lost in the rhythm” and the ambient pop of “CLOCKS”

Ria Sean – Satisfy My Soul

Deploying her signature fusion of Afropop and R&B, Ria Sean effortlessly saunters between different sounds on Fluid, imbuing West African rhythms and elements of lo-fi with soulful lyricism. Between the affirming, Dehveen-produced “Money Bag” and tropical percussion of “Stamina”, her sensual take on Afro-fusion finds a home on “Satisfy My Soul”: “You always feel like home,” she sings, before a majestic falsetto hook.

M.anifest – La Vida

The release of M.anifest’s fourth studio project dubbed ‘M.T.T.U‘ is underway with a new roll out. With two singles, ‘Confusion‘ and ‘No Fear‘ already shared off the album, Manifest gives listeners a foretaste of the project’s soundscape.

Produced by Bed, the song ‘La Vida’ is M.anifest’s third official output for the year and a track off the rapper’s impending album ‘M.T.T.U.’ which was confirmed in a series of tweets shared on the 1st of September 2021.

‘M.T.T.U’ will be serving listeners with a genre-bending configuration, giving consideration to the three songs put out by M.Dot.

Magnom ft. Tuks – Senorita

Ghanaian producer and singer, Magnom continues his music releasing spree with yet another single titled ‘Senorita’ featuring Tuks , a follow-up to his previous output ‘Makoma‘.

Barry Jhay – Shako

Nigerian singer Oluwakayode Junior Balogun, popularly known as Barry Jhay dishes out a new song titled ‘Shako’.

The Amapiano infused tune ‘shako’, produced by beatmaker Dibs, comes as a follow up to his last record ‘Ayewada’.

Drake ft. Tems – Fountains

Canadian rapper, Drake calls on Nigerian singer-songwriter, Tems for the Afrobeat record ‘Fountains’, housed under the keenly awaited ‘Certified Lover Boy’ album.

The genre-bending CLB album encompasses of 21 sublime tracks and it features musical artists from different cities. This includes Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Jay-Z, TY Dolla Sign, Future, Project Pat, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, GIVEON and Nigeria’s Tems.

Drake describes the album as “a combination of toxic masculinity and acceptance of the truth which is inevitably heartbreaking.” It was executively produced by himself, Noah “40” Shebib, Oliver El-Khatib, and Noel Cadastre.

Adekunle Gold ft. Davido – High

Nigerian Alte singer-songwriter, Adekunle Gold outdoors a new single, following the success of his previous release ‘Sinner’ featuring American singer, Lucky Daye.

Keeping to his hot form this year, Adekunle Gold calls on multiple award-winning Nigerian Afrobeat star, Davido to create this potential hit tune titled ‘High’.

Produced by Pheelz, ‘High’ serves as Adekunle’s third official single for 2021.

The Balcony Mix Africa ft. Major League, Focalistic, Lady Du, Aunty Gelato & LuuDadeejay – Government

South African live DJ group , Major League DJZ which consists of twin brothers that go by the name of Bandile and Banele are currently the major exporters of the Amapiano genre.

Having sold out Amapiano themed concerts across cities like Accra, Johannesburg, Capetown and London, Major League DJZ is keen on pushing the ‘Piano To The World’ agenda to all parts of the world.

The Balcony Mix Africa, a Youtube video series orchestrated by Major League DJZ makes it first debut audio premiere titled Government featuring Focalistic, Lady Du, Aunty Gelato & LuuDadeejay.

Major League and Sir Trill brought the last mix on Amapiano Live Balcony Mix B2B (S3 EP05).
