Black Sherif ft. Burna Boy – Second Sermon (Remix)

Ghanaian rapper and singer-songwriter Black Sherif collaborates with decorated Nigerian singer-songwriter Burna Boy for the remix of Second Sermon.

2021 has been quite rewarding for Black Sherif after several years of persevering for an industry breakthrough.  On May 17th 2021, the release of 1st Sermon Freestyle  lay the first stone of the Blacko era. This success of this masterpiece propelled Black Sherif to the major leagues earning him co-signs from the likes of Sarkodie, UK based award-winning Ghanaian producer JAE5 and other big names in the African music eco-system.

Few months after, Blacko (as also called) reaffirmed his stay in the Ghanaian music industry, proving naysayers who doubted his consistency, wrong. On July 16th 2021, Black Sherifreleased the second installment of the sermon freestyle with a theme revolving around the ordeals around the Ghanaian youth. The fly-on-the-wall story line made it easier for the heart-wrenching Ghanaian youth to resonate with it.

The successfulness of this tune was predestined based on the outcome of the first freestyle. The ‘Second Sermon‘ in it’s first week of release made a million streams on Apple Music, Audiomack and Youtube. Concurrently, Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Burna Boyvia his instagram story posted a video of himself singing along to the record playing in the background. Subsequent posts were made by him weeks in similar fashion weeks after confirming his fondness for Blacko.

Taking into considering the goings-on, we perceived a possible collaboration between the two that is, Black Sherif and Burna Boy.  Just as presumed, Burna Boy on the 29th of October 2021, posted a video on his instagram story, once again singing along to Second Sermon but this time with his verse in there. This garnered an enormous traction on social through the numerous conversations been had by social media users.

As the year comes to end, Black Sherif and Burna Boy collectively drop the highly anticipated collaboration with sweet-sounding verses by both.

Furthermore, Ghanaian Stallion and Samsney still remain the engineers behind the production.

Eugy ft. Efya – Down

U.K based Ghanaian Afrobeat singer-songwriter, Eugy releases his long-awaited extended play ‘Home Run’.

For this third EP, the Accra-born, London-raised Eugy takes on the role of the prodigal son. Inspired by his first trips back to Ghana in more than 20 years, the high-energy Home Run sees him reconnect with his homeland and the sounds sweeping the country.

Alongside Medikal and Jay Bahd, Eugy explores drill on ‘Osu Freestyle’ and tackles amapiano on the Kuami Eugene-assisted ‘I Need a Boo’.

The fourth track on the 6 track-list body of work is a song titled ‘Down’, a duet filled with intense passion and emotions, performed by Eugy and Ghanaian singer-songwriter, Efya.

This particular track was produced by talented record producer Nektunez.

King Promise ft. Patoranking – Chop Life

Talented Ghanaian singer-songwriter, King Promise is wrapping up the year with a new single all though his highly anticipated ‘As Promised’ album did not drop.

Following the commercial success of his Headie One assisted ‘Ring My Line’, the Legacy Life Entertainment poster boy links up with revered Nigerian Afro-dancehall artist Patoranking for his third and last song of 2021 titled ‘Chop Life’.

‘Chop Life’ is a feel-good song that conveys the message to live your life to the fullest so far as you are alive.

Kojo Manuel ft. Kelvyn Boy & Nektunez -Waiting

Popular Ghanaian Hype man and radio presenter , Kojo Manuel has helmed the Amapiano culture ever since it found it’s footing in Ghana. Being the master of ceremony of what is currently the biggest Amapiano event series in Ghana dubbed ‘Amapiano & Brunch’ held from time to time at Front/Back in Osu is a corroboration of his crucial role in the promotion of genre.

Correspondingly to the course of pursuing his love for Amapiano, he teams up with Afrobeat/Afro-dancehall artist Kelvyn Boy alongside talented record producer Nektunez for this Amapiano inspired record tiled ‘Waiting’.

NSG – Headliner

British afro-swing collective from East London, NSG have shared new music with their fans and listeners as they embark on their Roots world tour.

Headliner‘ is their latest project, a 3 track-list extended play featuring MIST and Nigerian Afro-dancehall artist Patoranking.

Off the EP comes ‘Headliner’, a signature NSG track which bears the same as the title of the project and produced by the usual suspect 4PLAY.

Masterkraft ft. Falz & CDQ – Secure The Bag

Prolific Nigerian music artist and record producer, Masterkraft calls on the services of actor and musician Falz alongside Nigerian street pop artist CDQ for his latest Afrobeat-Amapiano infused tune titled ‘Secure The Bag’.

Kofi Jamar ft. Br3nya & Talaat Yarky – 100 Degrees

Moves Recordings presents this brand-new collaboration from Kofi Jamar featuring Br3nya and Talaat Yarky titled ‘100 Degrees’.

This potential hip-hop jam comes off their album, ‘5 YEARS OF CULTURE – RAP & DRILL‘ which was released as part of their programs to celebrate five years of promoting rap and drill songs.

Fiokee ft. Bella Shmurda – Personal

Nigerian guitarist and producer – Fiokee engages Bella Shmurda on his latest studio project titled ‘Personal’.

Fiokee wraps up the year with another collaboration which serves as a follow-up to his song ‘Follow You‘ featuring Ghanaian songstress – Gyakie and Chike.

Major League DJZ links up with Ghanaian Afrobeat singer-songwriter Darkovibes, award-winning Ghanaian vocalist Efya alongside LuuDadeejay for the collaboration titled ‘Do Me‘ off the Outside album.

Major League DJZ have put in a lot of work this year, travelling around the world giving promotion to the Mzani originating genre Amapiano. The group is calling the year to an end with ‘Outside’, a project they tag as one of the best musical projects released this year.

Imagine kicking off the year in a major way, and closing it grand style. Fans have excitedly watched, as popular duo Major League DJz, have dominated the airwaves in the best ways this year.
