Sarkodie records diss song for Akufo-Addo and NPP government – LISTEN

Ghana’s foremost rapper, Sarkodie, has stormed the studio to address the ongoing hardship and mismanagement under President Akufo-Addo and the NPP government.

Sarkodie was one of the Ghanaian musicians to have endorsed the NPP party during the 2020 elections.

His song ‘Happy Day’ featuring Kuami Eugene was picked by the NPP government as a campaign song due to a particular verse which says, “Nana Toaso”.

He came under severe backlash after many recognized it as an indirect campaign song for the NPP.

Sarkodie has had serious influence on Ghana politics with his craft. In 2015, he released a song to address economic crisis under the John Mahama led administration.

A lot of people have called on the artist to also criticize the government for the economic hardship and mismanagement.

In a leak audio obtained by DCLeakers.com, Sarkodie was heard addressing the economic misfortune in the country under the leadership of the NPP and Akufo-Addo.

In the song, Sarkodie talked about lack of employment and bad governance, topped by extravagant spending by the President.
