After posting an advertisement for his upcoming GOG album’s anticipated Nigerian media tour, Shatta Wale received a lot of backlash.
This is due to Shatta Wale disparaging several Ghanaian singers who went to Nigeria, the hub of the current Afrobeats movement, to promote their most recent music projects. He was described as being disoriented and aimless by many social media users.
But as we all know, Shatta Wale is a tough skin and will take delight in the hullabaloo. That is exactly what he did, leveraging on the clout to drop a new song.
Shatta Wale titles this self-produced Dancehall and Hip-hop fusion ‘Society Contract.’ The King Of African Dancehall asserts vehemently in the song that he owes society nothing and that no one has the authority to command him.
