Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems is arguably one of Afrobeats’ biggest exports at the moment with scores of accomplishments to her name.
The Nigerian singer-songwriter has followed up her first RIAA platinum record as a guest artist on Wizkid’s “Essence” (currently double platinum) with another achievement.
Tems, who appeared on Future’s song ‘Wait For U’ as a guest alongside Canadian rapper Drake, has earned another platinum record certification, indicating that the single has now sold over one million units (1,000,000) in the United States of America.
The song ‘Wait For U’ has been credited as the fastest collaboration to reach platinum status in 2022.
