Unilever Ghana PLC records GHS 15 million profit in 2022

Unilever Ghana PLC has recorded GHS 632million in revenue for the 2022 financial year.

This represents a 20 percent increase from the GHS 530million recorded in 2021.

This is contained in the 2022 Annual Report and Consolidated Financial Statements of the company presented to shareholders.

Summarily, the company recorded a profit of GHS15 million in the year 2022 although no dividends were recommended for shareholders.

According to the company, the growth is largely attributed to its improved innovations.

In a media interaction on the sidelines of the 2023 Annual General Meeting of the company, Board Chairman of Unilever Ghana PLC, Edward Effah assured that the company is working assiduously to meet the demands of consumers and shareholders.

“We did make a profit of GHS 15 million in 2022 but we want to reinvest that into the company and as so as possible look at paying a dividend so the future is bright and promising,” he said.

“I think the broad strategy of the company is to invest in the brands, invest in the categories and in the development of our customers and once we push on that front, we should be able to come through this difficult period and continue to grow the business,” he added.
