We’ve generated over GH¢2bn from revenue mobilisation exercise – ECG

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is gearing up to provide a detailed report on the revenue generated from its mobilisation exercise, which has so far exceeded 2 billion cedis.

Samuel Dubik Mahama, the Managing Director of ECG, shared in an interview with Citi News that the announcement will be made next week.

The window was set to close today, but it has been extended until tomorrow, Friday, to ensure all records are accurately finalized.

Mahama added, “We are still in the process of reaching our financial goals, but we have exceeded 2 billion cedis and are continuing to make progress. While we have encountered some delays in certain areas, we will not accept any more excuses during the final stretch.”

The ECG on Monday, March 20, 2023, began a one-month-long revenue mobilisation exercise to recover some GH¢5.7 billion from individuals and firms who have failed to pay for power used.
