Largest professional body in the world for Procurement and Supply on Ghana’s fight against corruption

As the recognised professional body for procurement and supply in Ghana, The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is working hard to ensure its members support the professionalisation agenda across the country and ensure corruption and fraud are eradicated in procurement and supply practice.

Responsible procurement is a reputational and economic imperative, whether in state-owned or private business and CIPS continues to support the advancement of ethical practice in managing supply chains, helping Ghana in its fight against corruption.

To this end, CIPS will take the strongest action against any of its members who are found to have acted unethically and encourage anyone with evidence of malpractice to get in touch.

Each case will be thoroughly investigated by the independent Disciplinary Committee and any member found to have committed fraud and/or corruption will be disciplined and removed from the CIPS professional register with their membership and professional status withdrawn.

CIPS members complete an annual ethics test to raise their membership status further and become Chartered giving the organisations they work for the assurance of best practice in procurement.  All fully qualified CIPS members sign up to a code of conduct.
