Man beheads father at Assin Akrofuom in Central Region
A 25-year-old man, Richard Manu has allegedly beheaded his father, Kwaku Manu at Assin Akrofuom in the Assin South District of the Central Region.
The suspect, also known as Azonto, claims that his father, who is the victim, has spiritually exchanged his prosperous destiny with that of his twin senior brother, leading to the attack on the father.
After beheading his father, he allegedly went on to inflict cutlass wounds on his mother and other family members who were in the house at the time of the incident.
The suspect, who was saved by the police from lynching, is presently receiving treatment at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital at Assin Fosu under police guard.
The uncle of the suspect, Okyeame Kwame Amankrah, the Akyeamehene of Assin Akrofuom, who also experienced the attack, explained his ordeal.
