#SeeSomethingSaySomething among top trends on Twitter after government launched campaign
Some social media users on Twitter have expressed their views and support for a campaign launched by government to raise awareness for public vigilance, following threats of terrorism in the sub-Region.
The ‘See Something, Say Something’ campaign seeks to get Ghanaians highly alert so they can report suspicious characters to ensure the nation is protected.
In view of this, people have been encouraged to join in fighting possible terrorist attacks by creating peaceful, lively and secured communities across the country.
At the launch on Tuesday, May 24, the Special Advisor to the President, Yaw Osafo-Maafo, called on the citizenry to get involved in efforts being made by the government and the security agencies.
Any person who notices anything unusual about the security situation, should inform the various agencies by dialing 999 (toll-free) or using any of the security agencies’ phone numbers or social media handles.
