Be careful so you don’t breach your own regulations and Ghana’s laws – Alumni Association tells UG

Members of the University of Ghana Alumni Association, North America (UGAANA) have charged its alma mater to be careful it does not breach its own regulations and Ghana’s laws in the recent campus violence case.

The Association in a press release says inasmuch as it condemns the actions of the students, the University while enforcing its stipulated law and striving to ensure peace, must not go overboard.

UGAANA said it “would like to see the judicious and proportional application of the country and the University’s laws in the administration of justice.”

On August 6, last year, police were deployed to the University campus following a clash between some students.
