Abronye DC charged with publication of false news, offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace

Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has been charged with two counts of publication of false news and offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace.

This follows his arrest after he alleged that former President John Mahama wanted to stage a coup in Ghana.

He will be arraigned on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Below is a copy of a statement issued by the police on Mr. Baffoe’s arrest.

Abronye DC was invited by the police early this afternoon to answer questions related to his claims against the former president. But in the statement issued by the police, the NPP regional chairman failed to substantiate his claims.
