The second day of the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham has not been kind to Team Ghana.

A series of beatings from hockey to tennis was capped by humiliating news of doping on Friday.

Shakul Samed failed a doping test, giving his prospective opponent from Mauritius a bye to the next stage of the boxing event.

17-year-old Unilez Takyi, finished 4th in the Women’s 50m Breaststroke but failed to progress to the final of the event.

In the hockey event, India spanked Ghana 5-0, scoring at least once in each quarter. The game was in front of a packed crowd at the University of Birmingham.

In the men’s event, Ghana lost 6-0 to England in their opening game of the pool.
