Gold Chase: Joy Sports’ George Addo Jnr in Oregon to cover 2022 World Athletics Championship

George Addo Jnr will cover the World Athletics Championships for a third consecutive time in Oregon Eugene but this year under the Joy sports campaign -Gold Chase, which is aimed at pushing Ghana’s Athletics agenda.

The Gold Chase initiative created by the Joy Sports team is aimed at generating the necessary support for the special group of athletes to help them become global stars because of the promise they’ve shown over the years.

Aside the grand launch of the project on the 10th of May, the second edition of the main show on Joynews saw former National 100m & 200m record-holders – Leo Myles Mils and Emmanuel Tuffour alongside current Long Jump record holder Ignatius Gaisah join in on previewing the 2022 world athletics championships and motivating the current athletes ahead of a big showdown between the 15th and 24th of July.

Joy Sports has taken a keen interest in competitions involving Ghanaian athletes – from covering the just ended to NCAA competitions and the Athletics Senior Championships in Mauritius, the Diamond Leagues in Oslo and Paris and now the upcoming World’s which will see seven Ghanaians compete in Oregon.
