Otto Addo drops Baba Rahman, starts Tariq & Jordan Ayew in line-up to face South Korea
Ghana coach Otto Addo has dropped Baba Rahman and Alidu Seidu together with Alexander Djiku to the bench as he opts for a 4-1-2-3 system against South Korea.
The Black Stars are hoping for a positive result against the East Asians after slipping to a 3-2 loss to Portugal last Thursday.
Addo has plucked off 3 defenders from his starting XI for the defeat and installed two fresh full-backs in Gideon Mensah and Tariq Lamptey to counter the pace and speed-inspired game of the Koreans.
Jordan Ayew, who claimed off the bench to net a hat-trick against the Taegeuk Warriors, joins the Ghana attack.
Abdul-Samed Salis, who had a 94% passing accuracy against Portugal, is deployed in a holding midfield role with Arsenal star Thomas Partey playing as the transitor.
Kudus Mohammed is another offensive outlet for the Ghana midfield while Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew will operate from the flanks with Inaki Williams as the center man.
