Hearts is not a serious club – Annor Walk slams Phobians after joining Olympics [Ghana Sports Page]

New coach of Great Olympics, Annor Walker, has explained why he failed to join Hearts of Oak as earlier reported in the media.

The former Black Galaxies head coach left Samreboi-based Samartex at the end of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

News of his departure from Samartex quickly sparked rumours linking him to the Phobians’ job.

According to Walker, Vincent Odotei Sowah sent him a message requesting for his CV in June.

He explained to Ghana Sports Page: “You can’t recruit players before appointing a head for a new season. They are not serious.”

“I never had conversations with Hearts of Oak. Nobody called me. People were saying I can’t do the job but I didn’t want to talk. This is the right time for me to speak out.

“It was Vincent Odotei who sent me a WhatsApp message requesting for my C.V and I did it. I called him after two weeks to check up but he told me they were having a meeting with the players. I didn’t hear from him again but I asked him later and he said they will get back to me. Up till date… My first conversation with Odotei was on 7th June till today.

“There’s no truth about whatever they were saying. I just don’t want to talk. We are all matured and you can’t expose someone. I haven’t written to Hearts that I want a job,” he ended.
